January 25th 2011

Our own CyberCow has reached the "moolestone" of sharing 10K gallons of knowledge with UtterAccess community.
Please join me in extending him a bale of hay and a hearty congrats!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hat_tip.gif)

Mark: thanks for the all the help you provide. I have always enjoyed working with you; both in the store front and in cracking that cattle prod in the engine room!

Here to the next 10K (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheers.gif)

Doug

Woo hoo! Congratulations, Moo!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yayhandclap.gif)

Highly appreciate all your hard work on the front and back sides of UtterAccess!

Mark,

Words are quite inadequate to express all I have learned over the years from your dilegent assistance. It may not feel like you have "directly" been tutoring, but you have. Your posted code sample and databases have opened up new worlds of understanding for me and countless others here at UA.

Your professionalism, your kindness, your quirky sense of humor, and even your tag line add to the Spirit that is UA.

May we all continue to benefit from your presense.

Thanks for all you do! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thanks.gif)

(BTW sorry for breaking the "Code of the Jinx" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) , but I just had to speak up in this case!)

Is that right?
Allen Browne comes to you for advice?

I enjoy reading your advice. Long may it continue.
Along with your 'quirky' sense of humour!

Yes, it is easy for me to say that this person has done some serious heavy lifting for the UA community, and we are all benefactors of his tireless work.

I kind thank you for all you done for the Access community, and what you done for UA over the years.

The community here matters, and you made a difference here that matters.

Thanks, Mark.

For those who aren't aware of it, Mark's "behind the scenes" efforts are just as formidable as his work in the forums.

UA is all the better for it.

I've only been active here for a little while... but the longer I stay the more flabbergasted I am at the extent of Cybercow's knowledge, skill and patience. It's a delight to see! Thank you, Mark!

Moork's work has been udderly wonderful, and is a bright light to all his bovine counterpart - there's no end to what a cow can do, including learning a bunch of programming languages, fixing up some computers, building some database, maintaining a very *busy* website AND still answering questions! If there's any doubt in one's mind that a cow can't do anything, look no farther than Mark!

May you continue to inspire all of the cows in the world!

A wonderful mixture of toast and roast; its great being so appreciated and I know there's no way this is anything less than a two way street. It is the interpersonal interactions here that contribute to what I am and do here at UA. I've been dead wrong in places, (more than once or twice), and even come up with real solutions from time-to-time. Right or wrong, every thread is an opportunity to grow and learn. So, in all humble bovinity, this earmark is really a testimony to and celebration of the UA community and I join you all in this rejoice. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cow.gif)

Thank you all for the kind words. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hat_tip.gif)

Note: the only thing Allen Browne has come to me for is to not be so obvious in using his material for responses here at UA. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wary.gif) (jk)

Drinks are on me !

Many many thanks Mark! Especially for the backend work here at UA, though your posts and Code Archive entries, as others have noted, have opened avenues that I wouldn't have ever considered without seeing them... Be it graphic displays and interfaces, or re-linkers, or utilities to get the exports and constants from a dll using typlibinfo, I'm constantly astounded at the ingenuity of your work.

And, for UA itself... there's a small handfull of people that portray the essence of this community... being a friendly and light-spirited yet highly professional place of knowledge... Your humorous personality is a benefactor of the community, and we are all grateful for it (even the UA newbies that may not know where it comes from yet).

As Brain Johnson said: Have a drink on me! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/guiness.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/guiness.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/guiness.gif)

For those who don't know the hours Mark puts into this site I have a question for Mark.

When do you find time for work and family?

Thanks Mark for all you do for our community it wouldn't be what it is without you!

I'd say you deserve 'a pat on the back' for your superlative efforts here Mark, but in this particular context it might be misconstrued! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cow.gif)

Thanks for making UA a great place to be.
