I'm new to this site and hope someone can help me.

I need a way to set up Access to automatic email on the first of the month a notification to people from a query. In the query it shows who the Ratee, the Rater, Rater email, and when the report is due. Now the email needs to send out a word document with it. I just need the email to go to the Rater listed in the query with the document, I don't need the query itself to be emailed.

I hope someone can understand what I'm trying to do and can help. I'm new to the whole program side.

Hi,

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome2UA.gif)

What version of Access are you using? Please remember to select the version number when posting questions in case it becomes relevant to the discussion.

What you would need to do is use a recordset for the query and then loop through the records to extract the data. You will then need to use some Outlook Automation code to create the email, attach the document, and send it.

Where would you like to start?

Just my 2 cents... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/2cents.gif)

I'm using Access 2007 and Outlook 2007.

We can start anywhere you want. Thanks for the help.

I'm in charge of making sure all of the employees get a feedback done so they know how they are doing and what they could do better. I have 400 + people I manage. The report that comes out each month has updates all the time.

Outlook has a automation code.. thats new to me.

Okay, I think we should start with Recordsets.

Take a look at this Wiki article and let us know if you have any questions:

Take a look at this earlier discussion and follow the link to a MSDN article.
