Hey Gang

I am trying to use Access 2010 Package Solution. I follow through the steps filling in all the appropriate fields. When I deploy the package the install works fine but when I try to open the database it states that;

This database has been opened read-only. You can only change data in linked tables. To make design changes, save a copy of the database. [Save As...]

This defeats the purpose of the Package Solution (simplifying the install). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where are you installed the database(s)?

Make sure that you dot NOT use the program files folder for you database(s) since it is read only.

Hi HTC

I have changed the install location to simply the C Drive which has resolved the problem.
