I would love to be able to work with Outlook Calendar from Access 2010.
Not just open the calendar but be able to post appointments/schedules that can interact with Access.

For instance ...
At the moment we use a program that creates a schedule - at any time we can view a day and see what appointments each technician has.
If we click on any of these appointments, we can view the job details and the job card information itself.
A running sheet is emailed to techs each night, with all the details they need of next day appointments.
Appointments are easily changed, moved, deleted.
I want to use Access because there are many other facets to each job, other than just scheduling and Access will handle that side much better and more tailored to our business than our current program.

If I had a form in Access for making an appointment, can it post it to Outlook Calendar?
And in turn, when using the Outlook Calendar, can we link that appointment back to the correct record in Access?
Can it automatically be changed when the Access record is changed (ie. appointment time/date changes)?

I've done a lot of googling and am pretty sure this can't actually be done.

There are a few Access templates which create something similar, but what is important to us is to be able to flick through the calendar day by day (rather than run daily reports) to see how busy the techs are and visually see how their days are filled. And to readily click on any appointment to see details of the job and change as required. I don't think this is too different to how many service businesses would operate, which is why I am reluctant to believe there is not a better option available.

Any advice or thoughts?
Many thanks!

UPDATE

Found this article in Microsoft Support: <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/160502>

It's great - works a treat and creates an appointment in Outlook Calendar, which is fab.

If I have several calendars though - how would I direct the appointment to that particular calendar?

Thanks again!
