Hi all,
I ran a "Registry First Aid" scan and had it "fix" a bunch of registry problems. Ever since then, I get the following message when starting up Access ...
"Microsoft Office Access can't display the Add-ins submenu &Property Scanner because a setting you entered in the Windows Registry is missing a macro name or function name expression. Supply the missing expression in the Menu Add-ins key of the Windows Registry, and then restart Microsoft Office Access. For more information on customizing Microsoft Office Access settings in the Windows Registry, click Help." I am sure I caused this but have no idea about how to fix. I did try re-installing Access from my Office CD to no avail. I have not actually "un-installed" office then re-installed it though. Don't know if that is my last option.
Can anybody help?
Thanks in advance
cyberal

It is difficult to know what the "Registry First Aid" did. Did you happen to make a back up of registry before you ran the program?

When you re-installed did you make sure you didn't do a "Modify" or "Repair" but rather a Reinstall?

I think I will try a complete un-install of Office then re-install it from the CD. Maybe that will work, don't know.
Thanks for the quick reply.

Hi

Don't know what OS you're using - or indeed whether my answer is too late for you!! - but you may be able to get things back to normal by using System Restore, or even if per chance you have auto backup software (Norton Ghost or something similar) that has a disk image you could revert to that may also help............

Good luck on getting back up and running............
