One year old .... how time flies.

I also would like to thank Simon Wolf for all he did to create the forum concept ... as it still remains much the same today.

Also I would like to also give credit to Gord.
The forum had already been "pulled" from the internet when he unselfishly jumped in and saved the forums from impending doom.

I can also say that the membership has skyrocketed since that point.
We have accumulated many, many knowledgeable people who give more than just answers.

Utter Access has become the place millions of people go to when needing help with Access related problems

Special "Thanks" goes out to .... Simon and Gord.

Nope .. that's not the case ...

The post count carried over from A3 Forums which was the previous name.

I registered at A3 on 02/08/00

Can we get a little history on UA?

I've heard the story of A3 and how it was going to be extinct, until Gord came in and took over.

But where does the llama fit into all of this?

Simon and Gord could answer this better ....

Simon is a software developer. He decided to create his own company to do this "full time".
The new business took so much of his tme and the addition of the operating cost of these forum (which was paid solely out of his pocket) was becoming too much of a strain on him. In my opinion he did exactly what he should have done in his decision.

Gord was a relatively new member at A3 at the time and had the connections and assets needed to keep the forums alive.
Many people here do not know that Gord is very much an expert with Access as he very seldom posts solutions from being too busy.
Jerry, Scott and I were members at another site where Gord posted regularly ... so we know exactly how knowledgeable he is in this field.

Gord has continued to make improvements to the site on a day by day basis that has made these forums the "Best on the Internet".

There where 2 versions of A3 ....

Scott, Jerry, Candace, Lynn .. and many others where members of the "original" A3. I did not join until the second version.

Scott has been a member of all 3 and has contibuted many ways in the backgound that most do not know of.
He has been a big help to the the forums and keeping them online and running.

Congratulations on The Best Access Forum on the Internet, bar none. (I know, I've looked. ) Helpful, informative, courteous to newbies...like I said, The Best.

Does anyone know when A3 started? Does Simon post anymore? I miss him.

Again, Congrats all around.
