OK Gang, here's the deal.
I am working on an automated sign-in sheet. The database is set with users, where one user enter's a customer's name and shows that they are waiting the see a customer service representative. Our reps, each with their own user account, have access to the list of waiting customers. Here are my questions: 1) When our receptionist adds a name to the "Waiting Customers" list, how can I get the "waiting customers" list to automatically refresh for all the other users, to reflect the new customers on the list. 2) When a representative speaks with a customer, they will click a checkbox on the list to show that the rep has seen that customer. How can I create a way to have the list automatically refresh for all the other users, once that "Customer has been seen" checkbox is selected? Please be as detailed as possible, as I fear I'm not quite as literate as most of you are. I'm using Access 2000, ver. 9.0.6926 SP-3 Thanks! |

How is the information being displayed to the Reps? Is this database split with each Representative having a copy of the front end on thier PC?
I may not get back to this today, but I will check again on Monday to see if you still need help or if anyone else has been able to help you. |

The database file is on a central server, with each client computer having a link to it. My problem is, when a change is made by one user (such as adding a new customer to the list), I need all the other user's screens to instantly update, rather than waiting until they perform some action to refresh the information on their own.
