I have several text boxes on a form. The entry comes from bar codes. This works well. The problem is that after the data is entered, a "OK to Continue" command button must be "clicked". What is the bar code that I use so that the user can scan this selection(OK to Continue)?
Thanks |

If you can provide more details on the step by step process(es) you are using to get the data into the form's controls, I could better assist you.
"The entry comes from bar codes." - I hope you mean from a bar code scanner. Otherwise, I have no idea how "bar codes" can deliver an entry process. I'm also guessing, by your description, that you want a scan to automatically trigger an event - such as a procedure that might be run when a command button is clicked. (?) If so, there is a methods that comes to mind . . . To have the form's OmTimer event frequently poll the text boxes for data, and when enough of the controls(text boxes) contain data, the OnTimer event fires to save the data and then set up a fresh data entry scenario. The details would depend on various things like whether the form is bound or not, the number of scans required to gather enough data for one record, and so on. hope this helps to start ya up |

I have found a solution. I printed all the control codes using bar code. I then scanned each one in turn until I found one that works. I have left the office so that I can not teill exactly which one worked, but I did find one that did.
Thanks for all your help. |
