Is there any established conventions for formatting the text on a button? I'm thinking about putting the formatting for buttons that navigate to another form or report consistant across all my dbs. The formatting for buttons that run code would have different but consistant formatting. This way my users would have another clue what's going to happen when they click. What would really be nice is to be able to use a different shape (oval?) but I can't find a way to do that other than a bitmap that was started in Word.
I would love hearing any ideas! Pennie |

Comman buttons are very uncustomizabe. I would suggest using a label insead to act as a comman button and put your code in the Labels onClick event. It is Very easy to get a label to change color/font/stlye and such to indicate different things. One one database I have I have a label that depending on the status of thing on the form can display 4 different words and change 4 different colors! That isn't possible with a command button...but is with a label.

Thanks to both of you. I have been playing with labels and with the download. I've gotten some great ideas!
