Hi guys,
Is it possible to create an open link between a calendar in Sharepoint and a calendar in Outlook(Exchange)? If you change an item in Sharepoint it must be visible in Outlook and vice versa ... Someone got experience with this? Thanks in advance Greetz from Belgium (IMG:http://www.utteraccess.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/compute.gif) Luc aka Kuifjexx |

Hi Luc,
Not sure I understand your question. If you have a Calendar in SharePoint, you can link it to your Outlook Application, so that you can view it with your other calendars without having to open up SharePoint. What do you mean by linking SharePoint to Exchange? |

Hi
Indeed that is the question to link both items so that you add an item in Sharepoint it will be shown in Outlook. Also when an item is added in Outlook you will see in the Sharepoint Calendar. Additional question: is it possible to connect a sharepoint calendar to a Resource(Room) in Outlook/Exchange Greetz from Belgium (IMG:http://www.utteraccess.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/compute.gif) Luc aka Kuifjexx |

Hi Luc,
Again, I am confused by your question. Are you trying to create a duplicate copy of a SharePoint Calendar into Exchange? If you just want to manipulate the SharePoint calendar using Outlook, you don't need Exchange. While in the Calendar view in SharePoint, go to Actions and select "Connect to Outlook." Hope that helps... |

Hi,
Already thanks for your patience ... I found out how to link a sharepoint calendar in outlook, and it works the way I want it. That's the good news. Still have an issue ... In sharepoint I have a calendar where you see the overview of the availability of our trainingrooms. We'd like to connect these system with the resources in the Outlook calendar. So when an appointment is made a resource can be selected and the update will be done in the sharepoint calendar. I know this is now an old topic, but it's the closest I've found so far to my query.
I have wworked ouot how to display my SharePoint calendar in Outlook along side my Outlook calendar, and )at least in principle - it's crashing a bit at the moment) I can drag and drop entries from one calendar to the other. However, is there a way of automatically synchronising the two, so that whenever I add an appointment into one of them, it gets added to the other, a bit like my iPhone calendar synchronises with Outlook? Thanks in anticipation, Andrew |
