Hi:
I'm working on a very large report with many columns across an 11x17 page. In order to conserve space I'd like to put the "grouping" somewhere other than an additional column: Label label label..... i.e., Department Doe, John ....... Currently when I've moved this text box above the employee, I get an additional space that I don't want, when I move it into the header, I loose some of the departments. Also, I'd like to have a page break at the end of the department grouping. Any idea how these things might be accomplished????? Thanks for any help given. FusionRed |

to add the page break:
right-click on the group header, choose "Properties" from the shortcut menu click on the Format tab on the "Force New Page" property, choose "Before Secton" As to your questions about the spacing, without seeing your report, I am not exactly sure how to help you. You can move control around by clicking and dragging them. When you move a control with an attached label, the label moves too. to move the control independent of its lable, drag by the big handle in the upper left corner. You can close up extra space in a section by moving the mouse to the very botton of the section. When the mouse pointer becomes a horizontal line with vertical double-headed arrow, you can click and drag up. |
