Hello everyone.

How do you customize a form so that it does not have on top a form simbol in the left corner, minimize and maxmize options. But remain with a close option in the right corner.

I coud not find help on format tab.

I don't believe it is possible to show the close button if you remove the control box on the left.
You can remove the max/min buttons in the format properties - which is where you can remove the control box and close button if you wish to.

Yep .. that's confirmed. As soon as the ControlBox is set to False, the Close button also disappear in Access 2003.

That's fine. But is there a way i can replace it with my own icon?

You can add buttons to a form using the command button control on the toolbox.Make sure the wizard button in the toolbox is already active before you add the command button.

In the properties set.

Scroll bars = Neither
Record Selectors = No
Vavigation = No
Dividing lines = No
Border Size = Dialog
Control box = yes

Min/max = None
Close Button = Yes

That should do what I think you want.

The poster wanted to remove the Control box. As has been said, you can't do that without removing the close button as well. (The property setting doesn't work correctly).

You can set the form's border property to None and then put in your own title bar at the top to make it LOOK like the title bar and then you CAN substitute your own buttons.

ah, yep, hence my post with control box to yes, but if you take off the min max you only have the X.

Oh well. Hopefully he will get to what he is looking for.

No you would have the control box as well(:-)

Yes, you can't have the X without the control box.

Anyway - I am not sure he has what he wants, but ....
