Hello...it is the ole dummy again

I need to use a Query to get all the data before the date in the txtStartDate using something like the below. What I am doing is totaling all the Charges and the Amount Received from a Union Query to get a Balance Due. Can this be done?

Like [Forms]![frmDesktop]![sfrmWorkspace]![txtStartDate]
