Hi,
I am looking for a tutorial on how to make an access database avaliable on a webpage. It would have people inputting data thru the webpage and into the database. I would need to limit the people that can put in data, so a password setup tutorial for this would be helpful. I haven't any web building experience. I had a bit of a search, but hoping people could give me some tips and links to some useful reading. Thanks, Modesty |

You are using Access 2007, so you can only use Access as the data store behind the web page. Access 2010 can create web-enabled databases that run on SharePoint, but that also requires you have access to a SharePoint server to which the database can be published.
Danny Seager has a classic tutorial on the subject of converting an Access database to a web enviroment. You'll need a tool like Dreamweaver, Expression Web, Visual Studio Expressor one of the other tools for web page design, to create the pages. You'll probably want to do this with asp pages. Best of luck with your project. This post has been edited by GroverParkGeorge: Sep 5 2011, 12:31 PM |
