I am new to the Access game and currently trying to build a small database. I am trying to put a list in a form and all I can get to show is the column headers. I would like to see the drop down box with the table it references. This way I could see the properties on each and learn what I am doing wrong. Thanks for your help.

Okay, let's get down to business.

I am not 100% sure what you are trying to do here.

Are you trying to use list boxes, or combo boxes, or are you trying to display information in a form through a continuous, single or datasheet mode?

However, is sounds like you have no data in your table if you are not seeing anything.

Just for reference, i normally feed the data from a table, through a query, and then into a form. this approach allows for addition of parameters or sorting options.

Bit more information required and then hopefully we can help.

Thanks for your reply, I would like to have a drop down list in a form to select data from. I will have to add and subtract data to other lists, but this one will not change often. I have been able to put the drop down box in the form. I have not been able to make it reference the data in the table that I need.

In the data tab of the combobox properties you need to add the data source from your table or query to the row source property.

This will allow you to pull data into the combo box.

On the format table, there is a property called column count. If you want to show more than one field, you need to increase this number to the number of fields you wish to have in your combo box.
