hi guys...i hope i have this in the right forum area. i've created a project in access 2010 as client rather than web (for now). i'm having an issue with a particular field not carrying over info. the project i've been working on is designed to aid law enforcement and fire/rescue with finding victims who have a cognitive impairments (alzheimers, etc). when somebody calls in, the dispatcher begins an event for the missing person. the first form to come up is the Current's page. this is where the dispatcher finds the member and then gathers the variable info, such as clothing worn, last known direction, etc. it has a subform which is tied to the history table, and on this form, when the event begins, now() is used to generate a date and time. when the button is clicked, the time is inserted into the field (remember this is on the subform), and opens a Subject Event page that shows the dispatcher/officers, etc...all there is to know about this victim. the Subject Event page is tied to the subject profile table of course, but also has a subform on it with history. This history page is much more detailed and allows for go with the flow editing. the problem: while on the currents form history subform, the date and time is clearly inserted, when the Subject Event form is opened along with it's history subform, all the history information is passed along, exCEPT the date and time. Since i'm still developing each form, i have yet to set the currents form to close after opening the event form, so i can clearly see that the date and time is inserted on that page, just not on the event page. but, if i simply click the currents page in the history subform portion...just on any background area, the events page flickers, and the date and time suddenly shows up. why is it not showing up with the rest of the history info upon opening? it's inserted into the table like everything else is. i know this has to be something silly that i'm overlooking, but i've been trying to figure this out for the last 2 days. any help would be greatly appreciated. thx.
