i haven't tried using the filter on the properties of a form. can i make a condition out of it? like if my table has a field of "address" with values "1, 2 & 3", can i filter it that the form will only show those fields with address = "3"?

Yes, you should be able to. Check out the Help file for the syntax. Let us know how it goes.
