I created an Access DB using MS Access 2002. I had a bug in the switchboard and asked a friend to look at it. He fixed the bug and the db is displaying Access 2000 file format. Sooo, I believe that is the version I am working with.

My question is:

I am trying to create a form using the forms wizard. The table labels are in cryllic alphabet (unicode). When the wizard is complete, the form opens and looks fine (except the field labels are cut off -- that's another question). When I attempt to close the form, I am asked "do you want to save the changes to form "form 1" -- I respond yes and type in a non cyrillic name, click "ok" -- all seems grand ... and then ... I go to close the form ... and it asks "do you want to save the changes to form "form1" -- an endless loop ...

when I do close the form ... and say "no" -- don't save -- the form is not created.

Any ideas ? I would so appreciate the help.

Thanks!!

Thank you so much for the idea.

I tried to copy all the form fields from the newly created cyrillic form using "select all", "copy" and then "pasted" them into a blank untitled form I opened in design view. I had the same result -- it would not save.

I then tried to create a form using the wizard and a table that had worked previously.

Steps were:
- created this new form (in English) using the wizard (called "capture data 2" -- "capture data" already exists)
- saved it
- then I created the Mongolian/cyrillic version of the "capture data" form from the Mongolian/cyrillic "capture data" table
- I deleted all the form fields from the english "Capture Data 2" form
- I copied all the form fields from the Mongolian/cyrillic "Capture Data" form to the blank (but previously saved) English form
- and saved that -- it worked ...

but all the data fields say "#Name?" and won't allow me to enter data.

I am working on this project for a researcher in Mongolia as a volunteer ... I would very much appreciate any ideas.

I have developed 15 tables in English and am starting to develop tables in Mongolian. I have have been advised that this is the best way to handle multi- language .

Thank you for any advice.
