I am not sure how to format the column widths in my subform. When I drag the columns in form view the widths are not consistent when I move from record to record in the main form.
Can the widths be set in design view so that they will be consistent? |

In design View you can right click on the field width you want to set and then click on the format tab and there will be a width box.

You can also, under design view
Hold the shift key and select as many fields as you would like then right click / format / set the width for as many fields as you would like. |

Back again. The db is attached.
This still needs a little work. Scroll through the two records and then go to a new record and notice how the width of the columns in the subform change. Can this be avoided? |

I am not noticing the problem, can you tell me what form, and where?

Open frmShipments and watch carefully as you scroll from record to record especially noting the right hand side of the subform. I see it in the amount of grey space between the last column (Quantity) and the outside edge of the subform itself. There is a difference. Maybe I am being just too picky but it appears as if the column widths from record to record are different.
Thanks. |

It seems that on the 2nd Record the scroll bar is there, and in the new record it is not, and thus makes you believe that the amount of grey space is different
