Hello,
I linked my database to an excel spreadsheet stored on my company's server. I can run queries, reports, etc., but my problem is that whenever I have the database open, other users cannot access the Spreadsheet. Is there any way to get around this. I am a newbie, so, please explain in lay terms... Thanks. Stephen |

Would it be better to automate an import?

You could also use VBA to copy the spreadsheet and then link to the copy. Then you can just copy the spreadsheet as needed.

So basically do a quick copy of the spreadsheet prior to link and have it refresh every so often or have users refresh???
