Does anyone know how to code for sending a Magic Packet in order to wake up another computer on a home network, or can reccommend a utility that does that using Windows 7 64 bit? I use Access 2010. Thank you.

Hi
I've never used any of them, but a quick search turned up this site, which has a few utilities that claim to do it |

I have checked out a few.
WakeMeOnLAN is easily the best. It runs as a stand alone program with no install and gets a list of the MAC addresses on the LAN. Many other great free utilities at the site too. |

Alan and Galaxiom,
Thank you for the information. I checked out WakeMeOnLan but if I read the web page correctly, it only works with wired networks and I have wireless. I picked Wake-On-Lan Sender from the list Alan privided a link to and it worked fine. It searched and found the required information it needed, then woke up the computer when I needed it to. Thank you both for your help. Gene |
