CyberCow,

Google maps gave me a drive time of 10 hours and 14 mins...

If I'm going to be in the car that long, its going to be heading south to a warmer state...! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohyeah.gif)

Is Keewenaw a big city...?

Cool...!

I'm just North of Detroit, but if we found enough people, maybe we could start one somewhere in between...

Any other takers out there...?

I am familiar with a couple other Access developers in this area. I will see if I can track them down

Hi Ryan.

I'm in Hudsonville, just southwest of GR. Count me in, too.

I live in Muskegon, but work in GR. Unfortunately, my free time is limited, so while I might be able to attend, I'm not in a position to help organize a group.

DB - Keweenaw is our county. The largest town up here is Houghton; it's college (MTU) population is larger than that of the indigenous.

Are people still interested in creating a group in MI? If so, should it be for the whole state (and meet in Lansing perhaps) or have regional groups for 'regular' meetings and a quarterly state meeting? Or? I'm in the GR area and would be fine meeting locally. Lansing is doable on a less frequent basis.

I vote for Lansing, and don't know how often I would be able to make Grand Rapids.

Hello,

I'm from the Grand Rapids area. I would definitely attend if held in Lansing or any place else within an hour's drive or so.

Anyone interested that is from the Lansing area? Would your employer have a a meeting room the group could use? I think this could be sold to your employer as an opportunity for some free and excellent training for any employee. I'm thinking the group could meet and discuss various topics, and the employees of wherever the forum is held could come and go as their schedules/interest dictates.

I've got some pretty useful technology I'd share with the group.

Steve

Hey everyone -- I created a LinkedIn group for us Michigan MS Access/VBA Developers.

http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Michigan-MS...elopers-3848452

It'd be great to get together. Maybe Lansing makes the most sense.

What topics are people interested in? Steve mentioned some "useful technology". I'm especially interested in learning about 2010 web databases, but anything that can help us in business would be beneficial. I'd prefer to focus on topics for advanced users/expert developers.

Suggestions?

- Andy
