What I am not clear on is how we can use MySQL with PHP on the web. What can be achieved combining the two? Is it possible to create a database driven website from it? Please give me some other examples of how these two together can be useful.

Many popular Message Forums and Content Management Sytsems (CMS) use php with mySQL.
For example sites similar to UtterAccess often use PHP and mySQL. See: http://www.joomla.org/ ( I use this for lots if sites including my own) http://drupal.org/ https://www.An inferior overpriced forum software product.com/ for a list of lots of examples see: http://php.opensourcecms.com/ |
