I have a report based on donations. The amount is listed, and the type of donation is listed. I would like to get the total amounts based on the type of donation. I have a text box currently with =sum(amt) which gives me the totals for everything, but I just cannot think of how to get it for each type of donation...
Thanks in advance |

Open the report in Design View. Click View--->Sorting and Grouping... Put the field you want to group on in the first row of the box that appears. Set Group Footer to Yes.
Copy the text box that is already giving you the overall total and paste it into the Group Footer. You'll need to locate it AFTER you paste it. |
