Hello All,

...............A bit new on UA and quite thankful to all Access Gurus..

I have a 1500 (and growing) record database in which I have a Search Form to return values based on items selected from drop-downs [or typed field values]..

Can anyone PLEASE help... I've found this sooooo hard/impossible to do..

i.e. a range of account numbers....
i.e account falling within a certain date range...

Ok I found it! I created two different forms. One that shows you how to do a search using SQL code, and one that uses queries. I personally choose writing SQL code, but some people are more comfortable with queries...it is up to you! If you have any questions please let me know!

This article will show you how to search using multiple criteria and is very flexible. The code may look a bit daunting, but it is not that tricky once you get into it.

Hi Kirsten,

I'd rather use the code like you. However, is it possible to select more than one field...?

I have about 8 fields on the search form.... to search. Thanks again.

Hi Jack,

Please do not feel as if you were intruding.. your comment and help is quite welcome. In fact I am also looking at the Article..

I am still working my way through the codes as it is a bit daunting...

The code will come together for you, I believe, once you start implementing it. Add your combo boxes to your search form but only add one bit of code for one combo box and when you have that working go on to the next bit. Before you know it you will have it working.... Good luck!!
