i'm working with sharepoint workspace 2010 (new to me...) and i'd like to save an Excel file to Sharepoint as a linked file...
i.e., if i change my local xlsx, then the version on sharepoint changes/updates too... ??? thank you. |

Hi,
I think it goes the other way around... changes to SharePoint should reflect in linked copies but not the other way around. At least, that's what I think. I may be wrong. I don't like putting files in SharePoint. Just my 2 cents... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/2cents.gif) |

thank you....and may i ask why not...? Because it requires people to download "something" (the file), check it out, check it in, etc... I just prefer using a List with the data in them. That way, all users can access and update the information "at the same time." Of course, it doesn't apply to all situations. Just personal preference, that's all. Just my 2 cents... Hi,
could you explain the "List"...? Microsoft could probably do a better job than I can: Working with SharePoint lists, Part 1 Just my 2 cents... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/2cents.gif) |
