The attached demo (in mdb and accdb formats) is an example of a simple log in routine that requires a user to select their user name and enter their password. If the password is correct, clicking OK will display a form filtered to the logged in users own records, meaning that they can't see records 'belonging' to any other user.

Access itself is by no means a secure platform and the method in the demo is easily circumvented, but as long as you're aware of that then it may be helpful.
