i want to create a simple inventory tracking system
stock item comes in and issued how can i keep the stock balance and control the stock issues based on the balance appreciate somebody cud give an idea on the table design |

As I understand it, inventory control is one of the more ... complicated ... designs. Even if you don't have many items (one interpretation of "small inventory"), you'd still need to get the model right before adding items.
Have you already checked here at UA and searched online for basic table designs for inventory control? You could save yourself a lot of work that way! Good luck! |

Here's a template for Inventory Control from Microsoft. It's done in version 2003 but should work in any version from 2000 forward.

I totally agree with Jeff, inventory control isn't for the faint hearted!! Have a look at Allen Browne's info on stock control for some info that may prove helpful |

bkai's request came at the right time for me, also. I have been trying to build an inventory database for some months (I am an extreme newbie) and one of the templates located within this string will work very well. Will check in later, and thanks.
