I have a query that is based on the result of 3 other sequential queries. This stand-alone query runs fine. When I attempt to use this final query in a report something odd happens. After bulding the report, the report runs fine once, but when I go to save the report... Access changes one of the field names to a field in an earlier (in the sequence) query. This causes a problem next time the report is run, as the new field is not in the record source. Why is Access changing this field? This is a repeatable problem...

What version of Access?
Could you upload a copy of the database? I, and probably others, would like to see that behavior. Do you have any of the Name AutoCorrect Options enabled. In Access 2007 those options are located in Office Button, Access Options, Current Database. As a rule, I disable Name AutoCorrect (and compact on close for that matter). As is don't use Name AutoCorrect, I've never experienced such behavior, but that's all I can think of. |

Jerry,
You da man! I shut off the "Auto Correct"... and it stopped changing that field when I saved. The report works fine now... |
