I'm trying to update the sales pipeline template with a tabbed navigation layout. The issue i am having is when i pull over an existing form into the tabs, for example:
"employee list", I loose the datasheet portion of the original form. After saving I can right click and view as datasheet, although then i loose the top portion of the form and the existing navigation. I'm sure there is an easy fix for this, but i cant seem to find it in the properties, or form properties. THANKS

Hi,
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome2UA.gif) What version of Access are you using? Please remember to select the version number when posting questions in case it becomes relevant to the discussion. Not sure if you're referring to a tab control or tabbed navigation but perhaps what you are looking for is the "split" view. I think most templates use that view. Just my 2 cents... Sorry 2010. Tabbed navigation.
The split view works fine in the form before its brought over to the tabbed navigation. After this, eventhough the setting still remains the same, the form appears like in the image and not as a split data sheet. |

Hi,
But the image you posted does not show the whole screen. It looks like the datasheet part is below the single form. To verify that, try changing the setting to display the datasheet above the single form. Just my 2 cents... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/2cents.gif) |

That is the entire form. |

Hi,
In the image I posted the entire gray area should be the data sheet. That is the entire form. Did you try what I recommended earlier for troubleshooting? That is, set the "Split Form Orientation" property to "Datasheet on Top." Just my 2 cents... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/2cents.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/2cents.gif) Yes, Unfortunately it did not work. Thanks for the suggestion though. Any other ideas? Here is how to get to where the issue lies. 1. open the sales pipeline template. 2. create navigation horizontal tabs form 3. on the new tab type Customer List, which will automatically import the form. 4. save and go to form view. |

Sorry to hear that... Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of the template. But based on what you just described, I think Linq's point earlier applies. That is, you cannot have a split form view in a subform. If you want to proceed with this setup, you have a couple of options to try: 1. Insert a datasheet subform within the form you want to insert into the navigation form, or 2. Convert the single form into a continuous form and make it look like a datasheet. Just my 2 cents...
