I have a check box option grouped the user is able to select one of the following
Yes = 1
No = 2
Both =3
Unknown=4
and this is what i need since I only need to store one value to this field. But the data entry person wants to be able to unselect the item that was checked.

How would I set this option back to 0(zero)? Any ideas? Any VBA code?

I assume you mean you are using "radio buttons" and not "checkboxes", if you are allowing only one item in the option group to be selected. If so, check out this post from a few days ago.

If you actually are using checkboxes, then perhaps you could have a command button beside the group called "Uncheck All", with the following code behind the "On Click" event:

CODE
chkYes.Value = False
hkNo.Value = False
chkBoth.Value = False
chkUnknown.Value = False

Hope this helps...
