how to use before update event

what is the important of before update

Hi

Beforeupdate Event... You can do validation of your entires.
you can revert back so afterupdate event doent fire.
You can cancel all entries here before afterupdate event takes place.
You can prompt user whether want to continue to update record or abandon Process.
Data in the Control does not change till the record is updated.
