Hi all!
Please help me with this, this gives me a lot of headache. I'm still new to Access. I have two combo boxes. 1st combo box: Raw Materials ID 2nd combo box: Supplier ID The situation is, in each Raw Material, there are many suppliers. Which in turn, in each supplier there are many Raw Materials. So the table I made contains composite primary keys, one primary key for each ID (RM and supplier). My table looks like the one below. Raw Material ID Supplier ID Chem 01-ABC Chem 02-CCD Essence 01-ABC Essence 03-EFG Essence 04-LLM Flavor 02-CCD Flavor 04-LLM What I want my combo box to do is that when I select a Raw material in the Raw Materials ID combo box. I want that all supplier under it will appear in the second combo box which is the Supplier ID. For Example: RM ID Combo box selected row: Chem Supplier ID Combo box selection will be: 01-ABC 02-CCD another example… RM ID Combo box selected row: Essence Supplier ID Combo box selection will be: 01-ABC 03-EFG 04-LLM Below these two combo boxes is a Tab Control that contains subforms in which the data is dependent on the combined selection of Raw Materials ID and Supplier ID. Since I haven't made the two combo boxes to be working, I wonder if the data will be automatically generated after I select the last combo box which is the Supplier ID. Or do I need to create a command button to perform this task? I really appreciate any help from you guys. It's been two weeks since I've been experimenting how make this combo boxes work (or maybe I'm just slow) |
