Importing text field into a table via the wizard, but can not change the field properties. I had to go to advanced options and change it there. Quite annoying if you are not familiar with the data you are importing! Any ideas?

Where are you importing from. When you import into an existing table, the properties should have been set up already. If you are importing a text file into a new table you should be able to change the properties without going to advance option. However if this is something you'll be doing regularly it's a good idea to use the advance feature and save the specs.
Good luck. |

Importing a csv file into a new table. In Access 2000 you could click on the fileds in the preview window and that would allow you to change properties, but in 2003 you can click on the fields in the preview window, but nothing happens!

Can you create a specification for the import? Then use it again for the next import.
