Can someone please tell me why when I view the relationships I see duplicated tables? Only difference is that instead of being called say 'Customers' it is called 'Customers_1'. Can I just delete these? They certainly do clutter up the relationships diagram.
Thanks, M |

They are Accesses way of representing multiple relationships.

I didn't realize I was creating multiple relationships in my forms. Can I delete them? How can I stop doing this?

Why do you want to, relationships are good.
You can delete relationships, right click on them |

I guess I'm confused here. (just a newbie to Access, Oracle doesn't do this with relationships)
I don't understand why a new relationship is being created between a new shown table of Customers_1 and Sales. When I look at the Tables in the database, I only see the table I created, Customers. I don't see the Customers_1 table that has been added by Access and is being shown in the relationships shema. So, are you saying that this is just a personality of Access, that I should just let them be? They really clutter my relationship schema. But I guess I could just hide them. At least until I have more of an understanding of Access. I don't think I'm discussing this very intelligently. Thanks, Maggie |

two or more fields in another table must be related to table customers.
There is only 1 actual table There is no need to worry about them |

The only normal times for multiple tables is if you are showing DIFFERENT relationships for clarity. You cannot make a self join without a duplicate table for instance.
If the duplicates are showing the same relationships as the original tables, just delete them. You probably had a nervous finger when you clicked on show table. |
