Hi ,

We have one application which is running on many machines. But in one machine we are getting following error

"could not update;currently locked by user 'admin' on machine xxx"

It seems to me that error is coming because of multiple access of database. But Why this is happening only in one machine and not in other machines.

Operating System: Win XP pro SP2
MDAC: 2.8

Your inputs will be appreciated

Dhiren

Hi,

Is the application split? Does each user have a separate FE?

You need to split the application and distribute each user a separate FE. The link Jay provided you is to a FAQA thread about how to share an application. It should help you with the process.

dhirub4u,

In my best 'HAL2000 Movie' voice, its 'Game over dood, game over!'
unless you split that database!

Otherwise you are just asking for corruption and other issues.

Good luck, (IMG:http://www.utteraccess.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
