is there a way to set security in excel (say via simple vb)
to give user only write access to two columns (fields) to make comments (read only on everything else) Thanks!! I checked the postings but didn't find anything |

Hi Highlight your 2 columns then format menu format cells and then protection tab uncheck the locked cells option. Now goto Tools ---> protection ---> protect Sheet (Password Optional) and there ya go your two coloms are the only ones read write
