Hello,

I want to scroll text across the top of a form when a checkbox equals -1. My problem is the checkbox is located on a different form and uses a different table/query than the form where I want to marquee to scroll. This is the code I have used before:

CODE
Private Sub Form_Load()
If (Me!MoveToShip) = -1 Then
     Me!lblScrollingLabel.visible = True
Else
     Me!lblScrollingLabel.visible = False
End If

' Text for Label on Form
Me.lblScrollingLabel.Caption = "There is a Part on the Hot List That Needs to be Moved to SHIP ......................... "

End Sub

The query for the form that has the Marquee text box is qryKitList which is based on tblKit table. The query for the form that has the Checkbox control is qryHotList which is based on tblHotList table. Is there anyway I can do this? Or do I have to add the fields that are on tblHotList to the tblKit. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

Not sure I entirely follow but you have at least two options to get the data:

1. Join the other table in your query to have the data from the other table available to your query, or

2. You can use DLookup() to fetch the value from the other table.

Hope it helps...

Thanks theDBguy. I used DLookup() and it work perfect! Thanks for responding so quickly.
