Hi,

I have a problem with printing the color parts of my reports. I am not sure when it actually stopped printing in color because at first I just thought the laser printer was out of toner or something. When I run the report in print preview and send it directly to the printer only the black lines, letters, etc. will print. If I export the report to PDF then print it. it print correctly with all the intended coloring. Any suggestions? For reference I have attached what the final print job looks like when printed from a PDF and when printed from print preview. Btw, this is happening to all my reports not just the attached and not just for graph reports.

By any chance do you have the default printer mode set to only print in black and white?

When you go to print the report, click on the Properties button beside the printer name in the print dialog. See whether the settings are correct. If that solves the problem, make sure you've associated the correct version of the printer with the report.

I just checked and the color is selected. Could this be only affecting objects? see the attached. Notice how in the attachments the logo didn't print but now the lines and letters are in color.

I meant to say controls not objects.

Can't think of any reason some would print in colour but not everything.

Let's see whether anyone else has any suggestions!

You may need to post your question again, since many users don't bother reading posts that have had traffic.

If you do repost, include a link to this thread so others can see whatever's already been discussed.

Good luck! smile.gif

Hello,

Still not sure why this is happening, but if I print any report using "DoCmd.OpenReport "rptPermitInspectionLog (for example)", acViewNormal" it print correctly.
