We use Office 365/Sharepoint and hold documents online with the Sharepoint folder location mapped to an entry in Windows File Explorer. Normally we can get to the documents required via the mapping, however sometimes we get a message similar to that shown in the attached.

The solution we use is to open an Office application (normally Word), navigate to the Explorer view within the File Open dialog and click on the Mapped name, there may be a slight delay but then we get the underlying folders within Sharepoint displayed. This process effectively reconnects us to Sharepoint and we can close the Office application and access documents through the Windows file explorer as desired.
I’m wondering if there is any way that we could automate/simplify the reconnection process. My assumption is that when we access via the File Open dialog we’re using some kind of Office 365 Function so is it possible to invoke this from say a windows cmd file and reduce the reconnection process to a single click?
