It is with great sadness that we announce that Chip Pearson, Excel MVP, has passed away on April 19th 2018. Chip was an MVP for the last 16 years, and his contribution to the community we are all part of were tremendous.

My sadness is extended as well. My own involvement with VBA Automation was actually preceded by his introduction to various Excel formulas in Access 2.0, where no documentation existed. From there, his instruction into VBA led me to office automation in general. May he rest in peace.

Condolences to his family. Chip was a great asset to our UA community and I am sure his local community and undoubtedly his family.
