The Microsoft Access team announced today that Access 2016 will support Large Number, AKA BigInt data type.

https://blogs.office.com/2017/03/06/new-in-...bigint-support/

BigInt is the bigger sibling to long -- 64bit version of a Long. The BigInit data type is known as LongLong In the 64bit version of VBA. This addition allows us to link Access frontends to SQL Server tables that have a BigInt data type for the Primary Key field.
