> Key Preview In Dynamically Configured Subforms, Access 2013

My application serves to create and maintain test data for other applications. These other applications have their data in a relational database.
The tables of the target application are linked to my application, and then the user can select a linked table and enter test data in it.
For this purpose, I created a generic Form with a subform that is initially unbound. When the user chooses a table, the source object of this subform is set to 'table.<name of linked table>'. this makes the selected table appear in datasheet mode.

The issue I have is that I want to capture a number of events of this subform. As long as an event function does not have any arguments, this works fine. The code would for example be:

Me.subform.form.OnInsert = "=OnInsertHandler()"

But I cannot get the event handlers working that have arguments, like the OnKeyDown event.
I have searched quite thoroughly for a solution, but without success.

Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

Hi Mark,

What arguments are you trying to pass?

Where do they come from?

What are their datatypes?

Please post the code that you wish to use in the event.
