Hi all... I am looking for away to change the formatting of multiple fields in a form without having to build code in each individual field. I want to change a form so that when the field is blank it is light blue, but when any character is added to the field it turns white. I have attempted to do this using the conditional formatting tool, but it is not working when I put the expression or value as IsNull or Is Null. Is there a quick way to do this, without putting in code for each individual field?

Hi:

First, select all the controls at one time you wish to apply the CF to.
Second, make the fill blue for all controls.
Third, set the CF for all fields to ...

Field Value Is >> greater than or equal to >> " " (that's a space between the double-quotes)

...and set the fill to white.

You do this by choosing Conditional Format from the Format ribbon group while all the relevant controls are selected. So it is set for all the controls with one rule entry.

This will default the fill to blue unless there is a value in the control, in which case the fill will be white. A backward approach to your logic, but equivalent in results.

See the demo attached.
