> Append Query Criteria Failure, Access 2016

I'm trying to create a query that would append data from a field (let's say a text field called fName) in table A to table B, but I want to make it so that only copies "fName" registries from table A if a Yes/no field (let's call it fRequires) from table A is turned on, marked or selected.

Example: In table A only for Alex and Jesus is fRequires checked so what I want with the query is end up with only their names in table B.

I've been told that this can be done by declaring a criteria that checks if fRequires = "yes" but it keeps giving a wrong value message error if I try to run the query.

Any help will be deeply appreciated

Yes is -1 in Access. So you'd build your select query first (use the QBE grid), then turn it into an append query once it's returning the values you want.
