Also opened regedit and checked the new Location (I called it 57) and sure enough .. all present and correct.

Fantastic!
Noticing things like the double / and starting to understand all of the little nuances will then make any coding solutions much easier! It might not be possible to completely remove those warnings. We'll have to see!

What language do you want to look at for adding trusted locations programatically?

Hello Jon ...

I managed to edit my .reg file and have added that SubFolders are also trusted.

I used "AllowSubfolders"=dword:0000001

I have read that "AllowSubfolders"=dword:0000000 would mean Subfolders are not trusted.

I also see the date and time can be added as an aid to the date/time of update or creation.

I am happy to be guided by you on the next steps but great progress so far and I have it working.

Back again Jon

I have tried some VBA but will need some help on this one.

I have looked at several examples but do not know how to run the code.

Maybe they are run from within my application to set the trusted location before the application runs?
