This is (I hope) a simple question.

I am working with several files in Word 2007 with consistent entries that appear at the very end of each file. I do not need these concluding entries for my purposes.

I would like to eliminate them with a regular expression that searches for a keyword (e.g., "cat") that consistently starts the string, and then deletes both the keyword and everything that follows this keyword to the end of the file.

What is the regular expression for "End of File" in a Word document? I am unable to find this in searching the web.

Thanks and regards,

How about this?

Record a macro in Word in which you use the hot keys available to go to the end of the document, then search back up for the phrase you want.
