I have no clue how to approach this - I only know what I'd like to see.

I'd like to create some kind of web-based page with a list of items that can be accessed by certain people.
As a person completes an item on the list, they can log a comment.

Is this a simple and do-able project?
Or more in-depth than I really wanna know?

Hi Ed,

What do you mean by "as a person completes an item on the list?" Is this a list of tasks? Do you want the user to check a box? Once an item is completed, are other users still allowed to change it?

That's a fairly broad canvas. "... web-based page ..."

Do you want this to be available internally, externally, or both? Do you want your users to log in first? Do you want to track who changed what, and when they changed it? How often would this list be refreshed, or modified?

Do you have a SharePoint site available to your organization? Does your organization already support a web site? Can you obtain space on that SP site, or on that web site?

This is strictly a private project, not corporate. So, no Sharepoint.

Basically, it's a list of tasks shared between a couple of friends.
This needs to be accessed via computer, tablet or phone.
The response might be a date, cost, explanation, pasted web link, etc.

Maybe a Wordpress page, with each list item a separate comment, and users reply to each specific comment?
Does that sound easy and simple? Is there a better way??

Okay, then.

I'd look into an AWA on Office 365 for this task. It seems simple enough. And the security aspects are very doable--unlike an anonymous web page would be. Plus, the cost of an Office 365 account is as reasonable as any hosted website would be.

Hi Ed,

Have you looked at any smart phone app offerings? For example, I use Slack for collaboration. Or, maybe you can use OneNote.

Just a thought...
