Like so many others I've written functions to produce specific outputs e.g. a part number with leading zeros to produce a fixed string length and then felt quite inadequate when someone (take a bow Walter aka niesz - Utter Access VIP) does it in a single line using the Format Function and you are left thinking 'Where did they learn that?'
o I went in search of the Format Function's capabilities, to find that it's spread in various locations in the help system!
What I wanted was a reference document listing the capabilities with examples and pitfalls that was usable off-line
The attached Word doc is the result - I hope it helps you as it has me.
Please note that this is all the work of others (whose work I have credited and hyperlinked)
Regards
