This is a revision of the Universal Search demo that shows how to search for a string value in ALL non-system tables in ALL fields for the current database. These matching records are displayed in a list box. Double click an item in the list box brings up the detail view of the first 11 fields of that table.

This works brilliantly, except where there are commas in the results you include which will confuse the listbox and mess up the result columns. If you're going to show results from a field that may include commas, include four double quotes on each side of that field.

.... & ";" & """" & fieldname & """" ....

Thanks to Candace Tripp for the original code and to LPurvis for providing answer in the Forms forum.
